What I have learnt from Infocomm Studies
-Blog Post 1The Internet and the World Wide Web...
Firstly, I learnt that the World Wide Web was originally supposed to be used for scientists to share information from different places. The World Wide Web was only usable after September 1969.
Secondly, The number of host nodes have drastically increased over time and is there are about 200 million host nodes today.
Thirdly, There are three different ways to access the Internet.
Through ISP, OSP and Wireless Internet Service Provider.
The fourth thing I've learnt is that an IP Address is the number that uniquely defines each PC or device connected to the internet.

The "www" ----->
actually stands for World Wide Web. The World Wide Web is a worldwide collection of electronic documents which are also known as a web page.
What do use to view the World Wide Web? Well a web browser, such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox, would allow one to see the different web pages on the internet.
In every web page there always would a home page. Now, what is a home page? It is the first page any web page presents.
In some web pages you can download files. What is downloading? It is the process of taking files from the internet and putting it into your computer.
On every web page, there would always be a URL at the top of the web page. A URL stands for Unique Resource Locater which is a unique address for a certain web page.
Last but not least, what is a search engine? It is a program used to search for web pages or files.
